Dr. David Earnest
David Earnest, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Towson University where he teaches courses in industrial and organizational psychology, behavioral statistics, research methodology, introduction to psychology, human factors and ergonomics, and study abroad in psychology. He earned his PhD in psychology from the University of Memphis (2010). Dr. Earnest’s research interests include realistic job previews, recruitment, intercultural competencies, and teaching psychology through experiential learning. As an industrial and organizational psychologist, he has experience in recruitment and selection procedures, program evaluation, and experimental methodology across business, health care, education, civil service, and military organizations. Dr. Earnest has lead 5 study abroad programs (2 to Argentina and 3 to Italy) during his tenure at Towson University.

Dr. Shannon McClain
Shannon McClain, PhD, is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Towson University where she teaches undergraduate Cross-Cultural Psychology and graduate courses for students in Counseling Psychology, including Basic and Advanced Counseling Techniques, Career Development, and Research Methods in Counseling. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Texas at Austin (2014). Her research examines how individuals' social identities and culture impact psychosocial functioning, including mental health, learning, and development. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. McClain has experience working in a variety of clinical settings conducting individual psychotherapy, group therapy, and psychological assessment with children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. McClain co-lead the Italy 2017 program.

Dr. Danice Brown
Danice Brown, PhD, is an Associate Professor of Psychology at Towson University where she teaches graduate courses in Group Counseling, Advanced Counseling Skills, Practicum, Internship, and Multicultural School Psychology. She has also taught undergraduate multicultural psychology. She earned her PhD in Counseling Psychology at The Ohio State University (2008). Her research examines African American mental health and well-being. Specifically, she examines the influence of cultural socialization and racial discrimination. Dr. Brown also studies multicultural competence among mental health professionals. In addition to teaching and research, Dr. Brown is a licensed psychologist and maintains a private practice focusing on individual, couples, and family therapy with adults. Dr. Brown is excited to be co-leading a group of students in South Africa 2018, which will be her first time leading study abroad.
